PP insulation sheet resistance, resistivity: resistance is the reciprocal of conductance, resistivity is the resistance per unit volume. The less conductive the material, the greater its resistance, and the two are in a reciprocal relationship. For PP insulating sheet materials, it is always hoped that the resistivity is as high as possible.

PP insulation sheet manufacturers analyze, relative dielectric constant and dielectric loss tangent: PP insulation sheet material has two uses: the mutual PP insulation sheet of the various components of the electrical network and the medium of the capacitor (energy storage). The former requires a small relative permittivity, the latter requires a large relative permittivity, and both require a small dielectric loss tangent, especially the PP insulating sheet material used under high frequency and high voltage, in order to make the dielectric loss small, both A PP insulating sheet with a small dielectric loss tangent is required.

Breakdown voltage and electrical strength: PP insulating sheet material is destroyed under a certain strong electric field, and it loses the performance of PP insulating sheet and becomes a conductive state, which is called breakdown. The voltage at breakdown is called breakdown voltage (dielectric strength). Electric strength is the quotient of the voltage when breakdown occurs under specified conditions and the distance between the two electrodes that bear the applied voltage, that is, the breakdown voltage per unit thickness. For PP insulating sheet materials, generally the higher the breakdown voltage and electrical strength, the better.

The commonly used PP insulating sheet material is generally a material with a resistivity greater than 10 to the 9th power Ω.cm. It has good dielectric properties and heat resistance, so it can prevent accidents such as creepage, leakage or breakdown. In addition, It has good thermal conductivity, moisture resistance, high mechanical strength and convenient processing.

Commonly used PP insulating sheet materials can be divided into the following categories according to different chemical properties:

(1) Inorganic PP insulating sheet materials: mica, asbestos, marble, porcelain, glass, sulfur, etc., mainly used for motor and electrical winding PP insulating sheets, switch bottom plates and PP insulating sheets, etc.

(2) Organic PP insulating sheet materials: shellac, resin, rubber, cotton yarn, paper, hemp, silk, rayon, most of which are used to make PP insulating varnishes, PP insulating sheets for winding wires, etc.

(3) Mixed PP insulating sheet material: various molded PP insulating sheet materials processed from the above two materials, used as the base and shell of electrical appliances.
