Sponge is synthesized from polyisocyanate and polyol as raw materials. The commonly used sponge is scientifically called polyurethane soft foam rubber. Polyurethane is the most common polymer material in life and is widely used in the production of various "sponge" products. And elastic materials for shock absorption and anti-friction purposes.
EVA is made by the copolymerization of ethylene (E) and vinyl acetate (VA) and is referred to as EVA for short. EVA is characterized by good flexibility, rubber-like elasticity, good chemical stability, good anti-aging and ozone resistance, and non-toxicity. Good blending with fillers, good coloring and molding processability. EVA can be used for injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, calendering, rotational vacuum thermoforming, foaming, coating, heat sealing, welding, etc. It can be used as a building material for waterproofing, arson, and sound insulation.
The main differences between the two are as follows:
1. It can be distinguished with the naked eye. The sponge is generally yellowish, very elastic, and relatively lighter than the three. EVA is a bit hard, it is the heaviest among the three, the sponge will return to its original shape no matter how you press it.
2. EVA is solid, and the concentration is relatively heavy.
